AOK Virtualise-It can be bolted onto both Test-It and Fix-It (fixing is only enabled if bolted onto Test-It).
Virtualise-It working in conjunction with AOK Test-It enables assessment of application compatibility with specific focus on target virtual environments.
Working with AOK Fix-It, AOK Virtualise-It further streamlines application readiness by automating the remediation of application compatibility issues for the target virtual environment.
AOK Virtualise-It can save days or weeks of testing, trying to get an application to work in a virtual environment.
Applications that need to be virtualised must still work on the target platform, have access to dependencies, and work with the other applications they are deployed with. AOK Virtualise-It, when used in conjunction with Test-It/Fix-It Middleware and Core App Scan, supports this process.
Key Product Benefits
- Discover which applications can be virtualised in seconds
- Automatically remediate applications for target platforms
- Checks for middleware dependencies
Virtualisation Analysis
Once applications are loaded into the AOK repository they can be analysed using the virtualisation reports. These will identify the virtualisation issues applications will encounter. For example:
Windows 7/Vista
Before applications can be virtualised they still need to be deployable to the appropriate operating system. All the rules of good application management still apply in addition to the need to conform to virtualisation rules. It is important to use the appropriate operating system checks (e.g. Windows 7) in conjunction with the Virtualisation tests.
Middleware Dependency Analysis
Virtualised applications may be dependent on various middleware items. The application needs to be deployed along with these or given access to them. Virtualise-It can be configured to report on all the middleware that is used in an environment and the applications that are to be virtualised can be checked for any dependencies that they need access to.
Inter-Application Conflict Analysis & Fixing
Some applications may need to be deployed together. This can of course lead to application conflict issues. AOK Core App Scan can be used to fix inter-application conflicts.

- Non-supported drivers
- Hard coded references
- Non supported network updates
It will identify which issues can be remediated and which cannot. Once Virtualise-It has identified which applications can be virtualised, the applications can be remediated using the AOK Fix-It functionality.
AOK Virtualise-It currently supports App-V, Citrix XenApp, SVS and Terminal Services. It will soon be adding VMWare ThinApp.Windows 7/Vista
