Early in a migration process, AOK software catalogues and reports on application compatibility issues that are likely to arise from migration to a new operating environment.
AOK applications also check on dependencies from:
- Runtime issues
- Middleware
- Environmental changes between the old and new environments
- Applications' abilities to co-exist harmoniously with other applications
Unlike manual testing, AOK applications don't undermine existing testing work. Subsequent changes to any part of the new operating environment can be re-run against the entire portfolio - all at the press of a button.
When the time comes to implement Core packaging, AOK addresses the issues raised in compatibility testing by automatically fixing the vast majority. We also automate many of the other processes in the packaging process, such as enforcing standards, resolving inter-application conflicts and ICE remediation.
